How do I activate an eSIM on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3?

1) Open your smartphone's settings.

2) Open the "Cellular" menu item there.

3) Go to the "Add eSIM" menu item.

4) Select "Other options" there.

5) Open the "Use QR code" function.

6) Scan the QR code from our email.
Note: If an error message appears, such as "eSIM cannot be added," the eSIM is usually still successfully installed, and you can proceed with the following steps from step 15). The eSIM will then usually be called "Secondary," "Business," or for example, "Travel" instead of "BuddySIM."

7) Continue with the activation.

8) The eSIM will now be activated automatically.

9) The installation is then complete.

10) Now rename your eSIM (the so-called label).

11) We recommend the name "BuddySIM". ☺️

12) Then select "Primary" for calls.

13) Select "Primary" for iMessage & FaceTime as well.

14) Then select your "BuddySIM" for mobile data. "Allow Data Switching" must be OFF.

15) Under "Mobile Data", the eSIM should now be selected as the line. Then open the eSIM tab, usually under your phone number.

16) And activate data roaming on the eSIM.

17) Change the data mode to "Allow 5G".

18) Your BuddySIM is now active. 🎉
Under "Roaming (current period)" you will always see your current consumption.
