Is the iPhone Air eSIM capable?

How do I activate an eSIM on the iPhone Air? Step-by-step guide with screenshots – via QR code, manually or by link
The iPhone Air is exclusively eSIM-capable and does not have a physical SIM slot. This makes it completely eSIM-only. You can store multiple eSIM profiles on the device and actively use up to two eSIMs simultaneously (Dual eSIM). It is not possible to use a physical SIM concurrently, as there is no slot. Setting up your BuddySIM eSIM is convenient via QR code scan or Apple Universal Link (from iOS 17.4). Multiple eSIM profiles can be stored (8 or more), but two eSIMs can be active simultaneously. Please note: The range of functions may vary depending on the country. iPhone Air models purchased in Germany allow the simultaneous use of up to two eSIMs. In mainland China, the market launch is delayed as eSIM usage is restricted by regulations. Currently, only China Unicom supports the iPhone Air with eSIM. In Hong Kong and Macao, iPhone Air models are also not eSIM-capable at present, as Apple does not offer an eSIM version there. This makes the iPhone Air one of the first devices from Apple worldwide to rely exclusively on digital SIM technology, thus consistently advancing the future without plastic SIMs. Sign up for our newsletter and receive great discounts from time to time.
