The iPhone 12 Pro Max is eSIM compatible and supports dual SIM. In iPhone 12 Pro Max, you can use an eSIM in addition to a physical SIM card, but not two eSIMs at the same time. iPhone 12 models purchased in China, Hong Kong and Macao are not eSIM capable.
