In the world of mobile communications, the ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier) is one of the most important pieces of information you should know, especially if you're using an eSIM. The ICCID is a unique number that identifies your SIM card, and it is often needed to activate your eSIM, solve technical problems, top up your eSIM, or even check your balance. In this blog post, we'll explain how you can find your ICCID for eSIM on different devices and platforms. 💡 If you've deleted your order confirmation, you can also find the ICCID again!

What is ICCID and why is it important?

The ICCID is a 19 to 20-digit number that uniquely identifies every SIM card worldwide. It contains information about the country of origin, the mobile network provider and the respective SIM card. The ICCID is just as important for eSIMs as it is for physical SIM cards, as it is often used to activate or manage the eSIM.

How to find the ICCID of your eSIM

1. On iPhones and iPads
  • Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Step 2: Go to “General” and select “About.”
  • Step 3: Scroll down until you see the “ICCID” section. The number of your physical SIM and, if applicable, your eSIM is displayed here.

Important: On iOS, the last number doesn't belong to your ICCID.

Tip: If you have multiple eSIM profiles on your device, they are listed separately under “Cellular” in the settings. Click on the respective profile to see the corresponding ICCID.

2nd On Android devices

Method 1: Using the keypad

  • Step 1: Open the phone app on your Android device.
  • Step 2: Instead of a phone number, enter the following code: * #06 #.

Note: This will not make a call and will not cost you anything.

As soon as you the last #If you press the button, a window with the “device information” appears on the screen. The ICCID can be found at the bottom of this window.

Method 2: Through Settings

  • Step 1: Open the Settings app on your Android device.
  • Step 2: Go to “About Phone” or “About Device.”
  • Step 3: Search for “status” or “SIM status.” Here you can find the ICCID of your SIM card or eSIM.

Note: The menu structure may vary slightly depending on the manufacturer and Android version.

Regardless of whether you're using an iPhone or Android device, you can quickly and easily find your ICCID with the steps described above. If you have any further questions or need assistance, our BuddySIM team will be happy to help. ❣️
