ℹ️ Information in advance: Before we activate your eSIM from BuddySim, we answer one of the most frequently asked questions: Information in advance: Before we get to activating your eSIM from BuddySIM, we'll answer one of the most frequently asked questions: When should I activate the eSIM? ► The activation process must be divided into two steps: the “Install” the eSIM and the “Activate” the eSIM. Installing is scanning the code or manually entering the eSIM on the smartphone. You can install your BuddySIM any time after purchase. The eSIM is then on your device, but it is not yet “activated”. Mobile data can only be activated in the destination country. You “activate” the eSIM by Turn on data roaming for eSIM and select it as a line for mobile data. Since activation requires an active WiFi connection depending on your smartphone, we recommend that you use the eSIM On WiFi just before you leave the airport Set up for the first time. However, the Internet is only activated in the destination country — and only then does the duration of your package begin (except for a global or European bundle, as Germany is also a destination country here).
