Is Fairphone 4 eSIM capable?

The Fairphone 4 is eSIM capable and allows users to dispense with physical SIM cards. Setting up an eSIM is done via the settings under “Network & Internet” and “Mobile network”, where users access their eSIM through Scan a QR code or manual input be able to activate.

Setting up your eSIM from BuddySim is conveniently carried out via QR code scan.

Note: The Fairphone 4 allows for some eSIMs (depending on the destination country) no automatic APN.

An APN (access point name) is the access configuration that your smartphone needs to connect to your provider's mobile data network.

After activation, please go to “Managing eSIM” → “Edit access point” and manually enter:

• APN: data.esim
• username: BuddySim
• password: (leave empty)
